If you’ve been reading Yeti 4 Hire for any length of time you’re probably wondering where the big blue goofball has been lately. I took a bit of a break back in October to work on the next issue (The penciled cover of which you can see above) promising new pages in January. Long story short, a few weeks ago, my main computer had a massive hard drive failure and I lost all the digital work I had done on the pages for issue 4. Even though I had been backing my files up (make sure you do this, kids!), the hard drive had been buggy for a while and the last viable backup I could retrieve was from before I started the digital process on this latest Yeti comic. I was left with my pencilled pages and a whole lot of work lost. As you can imagine, I was not pleased.

As I contemplated starting that digital process over, I started to take a look at this issue’s story and the then comic overall. There were a number of things I wasn’t quite happy with in the series that I felt I really wanted to take some extra time to fix. Some of it in the art, some in the writing and some with the whole tone of the series. It just wasn’t where I wanted it to be. So I’ve decided to continue the hiatus a bit longer to figure out exactly what I want the comic to become and get it back on track.

Yeti 4 Hire is definitely not going away for good. I love working on it too much to give it up. It’s just going into the shop for repairs. My plan is to relaunch the comic later this year. I’ll be sure to make a whole lot of noise about it when I’ve settled on a date for the relaunch.

Thanks for your support of the comic and for your patience as I get it back to where I want it to be.
